Description
Meteorite impact event. Artwork of the Earth's northern hemisphere showing a huge mass of dark cloud thrown into the atmosphere by a massive meteorite strike. This would cause a similar effect to a
uclear winter", in which global temperatures drop due to dust in the atmosphere blocking the Sun's light and heat. It was originally proposed as an effect of a worldwide nuclear war, but a meteorite impact would have a similarly catastrophic effect. The dust seen here will spread throughout the atmosphere, causing the deaths of millions of plants, animals and humans."
