Our greeting cards are 5" x 7" in size and are produced on digital offset printers using 100 lb. paper stock. Each card is coated with a UV protectant on the outside surface which produces a semi-gloss finish. The inside of each card has a matte white finish and can be customized with your own message up to 500 characters in length. Each card comes with a white envelope for mailing or gift giving.

I captured this shot a few years ago but did not take the time to process the raw image. I decided it was time to do something with it, so here's its debut. It is something I saw only that one time and not again since then. An American goldfinch, sharing a branch with a female Northern cardinal, did a curious thing--tugged at the cardinal's throat feathers. I don't know if it was friendly or simply competition for the food supply. Regardless, it seems a good caption would be (from the goldfinch's point of view): "Are you my mother?" Hope you enjoy this odd little encounter captured several years ago in my back yard.
I am a retired high school English teacher who loves photographing nature with wild birds as my main interest. I live in southwestern Louisiana and enjoy the plethora of wildlife and waterfowl indigenous to the area; I also love landscape shots of the swamplands and marshes and wetlands of our state.
