© 2013 by Toni L French. A lovely customer named Jonathan commissioned me to design a paper gift to honor his wife Shannon on their First Anniversary. Initially, he wanted me to merely write a few lines of text on a beautiful piece of paper. I began to consider creating something more elaborate, so I designed a three-dimensional gift to be a metaphor of the depths of his love. I selected several types of paper (smooth and textured) and added a wired ribbon, and cut out the shape of a goblet that would symbolize celebration. It was also easily removed if they were teetotalers.
