Congratulations to the Schooner Columbia! She won the 2015 Maritime Heritage Festival Schooner Race! Coming in second, and pictured above, was the Schooner When And If. In third, not in the picture, the Schooner Brilliant of the Mystic Seaport.
A special "Thank You" to the ship and crew of the Fireboat John J. Harvey for attending. With the fireboat's actions in NYC following the events of 9/11 well documented, it was quite special to have them here during the anniversary of that tragic day.

I have spent much of my adult life building ballistic missile submarines and working in a maximum security prison.
