Description
Water color, color pencil, pencil on 100lb. Bristol 14x17 smooth acid free paper, sprayed with clear lacquer.
Commissioned work for a friend's brother who owned a share in this particular aircraft. The airplane is a kit plane known as a "Starduster Too". It is painted somewhat in the colors of the trainer biplanes of the 1930's and early 1940's. It is very attractive and very visible and very yellow. From what I understand it is quite a little hot rod. The Owner who has flown this plane from Utah to Oshkosh is also retired from the Air Force, he flew the B-47 and the F-84 during his career, all of which will be the subject of my work at a future time. This was fun to do, the yellow was intense, but I think the overall end result turned out well. Thanks for looking! :o)
