"Ahoy Checkmate"
Two dogs playing chess in nautical surroundings. The idea and encouragement was gifted to me from a close friend. I could imagine it clearly but so rarely painting actual paintings I was unsure I would be artistically capable of transferring my imagined image to the canvas. When I stepped back after the 1st sitting I knew it was not only going to work but it was special and these endearing, focused canines would be a piece I needed to share with others. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
