Description
Location - Philadelphia Pennsylvania center city. I captured the LOVE sculpture By Robert Indiana, (from Love Park in Philly) backwards in order to include Billy Penn on city hall. The original was simply the reversed image. No pasting or post processing, This new edit is as it is strait from the camera except for a little bit of digi enhancement. Shot with a K1000 Pentax18mm K 400-35mm and captured 10-10-1993.
For those who don't know about film cameras and the edit process prior to computer software and aps, The reverse process I mention above is simply the printing of film backwards as I knew when exposing the film what my intentions were. In the view finder, The scene was the mirrored image of what we see here. Before computers you couldn't just click an edit. Edits were done in the darkroom and/or to the processed negative. Or during printing. That was how I originally processed this image. This digitized version is a 35mm film scan to software and then simply mirrored with no other edit other than a small amount of artifact removal. The Billy Penn statue atop city hall is not pasted there. It is actually there... It IS as it is.
The location of the sculpture was moved Hence the reason for being in my "Never Again" collection.
