I couldn't go past this image and I can understand why it would always be your favourite. V/F

It really does. Especially with the story behind it. I was working in the Media Department onboard the USS George Washington at the time and was assigned to get coverage of the crew bidding fare well to their families and loved ones. I've never really been comfortable shooting these things; I always feel like an intruder. So, I saw this officer with his child, shot this image and as soon as I look up, I see him looking at me and clearly unhappy with what he sees. So, I move on. I mean, what could I do? I had to do my job. Later that evening, this photo was chosen to be displayed on the homepage of the ship's intranet site. The next morning, I check my email to find an email in my inbox from this officer apologizing and thanking me for this photo. This will remain one of my favorites, just for that reason alone. Thanks for enjoying my work.
