Description

Lightning lights up the clouds and rain over Tucson, Arizona during a summer monsoon season thunderstorm. Lightning tints the atmosphere with wonderful colors depending upon the strength of the bolt and the content of the air where it strikes. The more water in the air, this case in the form of rain, the more likely the bolt light up the sky in pink or magenta. A very strong bolt can even light up the sky a rare bright blue.
