This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

About Lar Matre
Lar Matre was born in California near the middle of the 20th century. His parents remember that he started drawing just after he started walking, showing his artistic abilities very early on. Upon entering school, he quickly became the class artist, focusing on illustration, but his deep down passion was photography. Life, LOOK, and National Geographic were his favorite picture magazines. I use too many words, but the part that was cut off said, "could easily have been cleaned up to omit that trailing bit at the bottom, but that would have deprived me of the fun of noticing it. It makes the piece interesting.

This one jumped off the page at me. I love it for the colour combination, but more for the stringy quality like a fine knitted garment that's just unravelled a bit at the bottom ... that wispy part is just what was needed to add to its charm! could so easily have been cleaned up and left to look perfect, and then I would not have had the pleasure of its discovery. You clearly know what you are doing.
