Description
Supernova. Artwork of a supernova (upper right) shining over the natural rock formations (buttes) of Monument Valley, Arizona, USA. A supernova is the result of a massive star exhausting its fuel. The nuclear fusion that prevented the star from collapsing fails. The star collapses and a massive explosion results. A supernova will dominate the night sky, and may outshine an entire galaxy.
