Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
Olive tree leaf trichomes (Olea europaea), scanning electron micrograph (SEM). Plant trichomes are fine epidermal outgrowths that have diverse structure and function. Examples of plant trichomes are hairs, glandular hairs, scales, and papillae. The olive tree leaf surface has scale-like, peltate trichomes that often overlap. These leaf trichomes prevent evaporative water loss during dry or windy conditions. They help the olive tree to survive in the hot and seasonally dry climates. Often trichomes are used for plant protection from insects. Magnification: x40 when shortest axis printed at 25 millimetres.
