A bright red
covered bridge
in the Appalachian Mountains
of Carolina
is sitting pretty,
sheltered by the ornamental
pear trees
in this lovely country lane.
The trees turn brilliant reddish orange
in the autumn
and are the last foliage
to turn into fall color
and the first to flower
into soft white blooms
in the spring,
out of all of the flowering trees
in the blue ridge mountains...
The fence-line follows the lane
and gives a nice touch
and feeling of 'country'
to this image...
