AmeriHybrid Picotee Begonia Bulbs produce beautiful, dual colored begonia flowers. AmeriHybrid Picotee Begonias are well known for the extra large-sized flowers they produce and are the most extensive list of picotees available. Unique and spectacular, they are prize winners at any show.
The roots of these beauties are not true bulbs, as the name tells you. Tuberous begonia roots are, obviously, tubers. They require shade and regular feeding, so most people grow them in patio pots, window boxes, or other places where you can tend them carefully. They're also perfectly happy in the ground in shady areas as long as the soil is rich and well-watered. The blooms can reach a spectacular 5 or 6" across, on short plants that are rarely over a foot tall. Many gardeners start the plants inside in pots, and they can be taken in and enjoyed as houseplants when frost threatens in the fall.
This non-stop begonia gives you tons of continuous gold-red blooms which are fabulous in pots and containers away from the harsh sun and wind.
These beautifies have elaborately ruffled, large double flowers. The petals have a unique "Picotee" pattern - the edges are a contrasting colour to the rest of the petal. Picotee On Top Begonias are outstandingly quick blooming, well-branched, heat tolerant, and hardy. They have numerous dazzling rose-like blooms and an extremely long blooming period. Simply gorgeous!
