I made this picture by combining old papers, sumi ink scribblings, and an enso circle I painted using a combination of India and walnut inks. I began working on this in 2012, let it “mellow” for eight years (!) and here it is, finalized today.

I love it, Carol. I too do this, fishing out pictures that I started and suddenly it clicks and off it goes. Love this piece, the softness and yet a strong statement with the semi circle and a few touches of black.
