I love this picture. This is the second big order I’ve purchased from this site and this photographer. The quality is perfect, the framing is beautiful. Thank you

This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
Trying to be in the right place at the right time to get the best of the available light has to be one of the most frustrating, but most rewarding challenges for a landscape photographer, and this shot was one of those times when everything came together!
I'd been watching the weather through the day, as the forecast suggested it might start to clear in the evening, and about an hour before sunset there were some small clear patches on the western horizon, so I jumped in the car and headed out to see what I could get. It's been a while since I've been to one of my favourite locations, Juniper Point in Lighthouse Park, and as that has a good view of the setting sun at this time of year, I figured I'd take the opportunity to revisit it and see what I could get.
As I arrived at the park and started walking to Juniper Point, things didn't look very good -- indeed, it was so dark and overcast I was almost reaching for my flashlight to see the path clearly under the shadow...
About Alexis Birkill
Born in the UK, I moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011. My career in photography has grown from a long-held passion for capturing the beauty of the world, aided on the technical side by my background as a software developer. I specialise in fine art photography of landscapes, seascapes and cityscapes in and around the Pacific Northwest, with work exhibited internationally. Many of my photographs feature the beautiful city of Vancouver, but as well as capturing its iconic cityscapes, I can often be found exploring the BC and Washington coastline for new photographic opportunities, as well as developing my portfolio of night sky photographs featuring the Milky Way and the Aurora Borealis.
