Description
Apparition of Tatiana was a custom commissioned drawing for a client
The drawing has many symbolic and subliminal meanings within the design.
The cowboy father is looking off onto an empty landscape, contemplating what might be in the future, while on the right side stands his daughter with wings reaching up to pet the family horse. The cowboy's trusty companion is on his right side to offer comfort and protection. On the left side of the cowboy sits two whiskey jugs and a wagon wheel which represents the road once traveled and what he has put behind him as he looks onto a new brighter future.

Thank you Sarah, I love doing commissioned drawings that have a sentimental connection to the client.

that is always the part of the commissioned process that leaves me hanging as well....often times, i never even see the art hanging in it's special place...perhaps, he will photo the install when it happens! happy new year, pete!

Peter Piatt replied:
Thank you Marlene, so far he has only seen it here and is happy. I’ll love to be able to deliver it to him in person and get his full reaction. Me in CA, him in Canada.

Good work, I always seem to enjoy commission work the best. So hard to come up with ideas of my own. Much easier to already have the concept before the work is created in my opinion :)
Peter Piatt replied:
Thank you Richie, I don't mind following a person’s first preconceived idea but find that when clients are willing to share more information, I then can push that idea a bit further to make it even more special to them. Not saying that my concept is better, but just different. In the end, they make the final decisions.

I can see that you put your heart and soul into this work Peter... With as much detail as there is in the work itself, your ability to draw the story into reality is amazing! A true Masterpiece!! Depth and detail and more... Remarkable!!
Peter Piatt replied:
Thank you Dan, you and I were on the same thought but you said it first. Putting not only my heart and soul into it, but showing the heart and soul of the client.
