This angel is located with in the grounds of the Newkirk Cemetery located in Big Prairie, Ohio in the county of Wayne on Newkirk Road. This angel sits near the rear of the cemetery keeping a watchful eye on everyone who is buried there.

At 1 time there was a beautiful church on the cemetery grounds. This church had a beautiful pipe organ that played well. The church also had beautiful stained glass windows. In the 1960's someone said the church had termites and they were eating the wood. I was just a little kid then and I looked it over along with my grandfather and my grandfather said "IT CAN BE FIXED"! Well someone else had better ideas. Tear it down like most do.
Out with the old and in with the new. But in the case the new never came. Today where the church once stood there is a rock with a plaque with a photo of the church on it and a few bushes around this rock like a memorial. The day they removed this great building was a really sad day for lots of people.
