One-Day Plein Air Workshop

Keith Thirgood and Helen Walter lead this 7-hour long, practical workshop on the art and practice of painting en plein air. (It sounds better in French.)

As this is plein air, the workshop will be held out of doors.
- You will learn techniques for simplifying the visual chaos a live scene presents.
- You will learn how to compose a live scene.
- You will practice reducing the scene to values.
- We start with a discussion of some of the practical aspects of plein air painting and learn some “tricks” for making plein air easier.


Fee: $100 plus HST.

Location: 15 Wilson Street, Markham, Ontario
The workshop runs from 9am until 4pm, with a break for lunch. Once you sign up, we will send you our suggested materials list. Minimum 3 participants, maximum 10.
