Kris Parins Watercolor Workshop Jackson WY

Splash, Splatter & Pour

Pouring is a technique that every watercolorist needs to have in their bag of tricks. It can be a quick method for creating a large, seamless wash and a way to loosen up and let it flow. ThereÕs nothing quite like the excitement of seeing all that beautiful color swirling on the paper, creating your glowing underpainting. After that first pour, you may choose to finish the painting with your usual process, or continue to mask and pour multiple layers. ItÕs up to you!

Using masking fluid, weÕll construct a painting layer by layer. You will choose your own subject matter and work from your own original source material (photos or sketches.)

Kris Parins NWS is known for the enthusiasm she instills in her students while emphasizing planning, values, and good design. Her award-winning work is exhibited nationally and has recently been featured on the covers of American Artist Watercolor and Watercolor Artist magazines.

Intermediate to Advanced Level; some experience working with watercolor and an understanding of basic art principles.
