Making a positive difference Post up to 3 images (any medium) that somehow express the joy of working to make a positive difference in the world. This contest is family friendly.

The goals of this contest are to let people see your work and to help raise funds for the Cancer Research Institute (CRI). CRI is a reputable nonprofit that funds immunotherapy research. I believe this is a promising approach to cancer treatment because of greater specificity to cancer cells and lower toxicity to patients. I know of some patients with late-stage cancers who responded very well to immunotherapy. If only researchers could extend this success to more cancer patients! How many more people would not lose their kids, parents, grandparents, spouses and friends!

More research is needed to increase the number of patients who can benefit from these therapies and research is expensive. This is were CRI comes into play: they identify brilliant researchers with promising ideas and provide funds to put these ideas into practice to help more cancer patients.
