Contest Rules

Horses in summer colors1) This contest is about Warm Summer colors in the horse(s) coat.

2) Horse must be a hue of red through yellow, browns and tans included. The image can contain a horse with a variance of these colors as well. White points (ears, muzzle, socks, face markings, spots, etc. ) are acceptable with the hues listed above.

NO NO NO No black, gray, or cool colors; hues from blue green through blue violet and especially if you are submitting an abstract work. Horse should not be a bay or have black points (black on the ears, face markings, muzzle, legs, socks, mane or tail, etc).

The logo I chose for this contest is of a strawberry roan - notice all the coloring is mostly reds. There is a hint of black around the muzzle on my roan but I think you get the picture here as her points are red (ears, mane, tail, body is a variance, and legs). Your horse must be at least 98% red, yellow, brown or tan to be accepted into this contest.

3) All mediums will be accepted including digital enhancements to stay with the color palette.

Please keep in mind summer colors as you get out there and find summer fun with your horses or horses in the areas around you.
