Who Determents The Price Of Art?

WHO DETERMENTS THE PRICE OF ART?
Maybe more important: What is art?
It cannot be the price of a canvas or the price of a sheet photo paper. Then what?
First of all; do you like what you see. Can you do it yourself and can you put the same emotions in the piece as the artist did? Can you identify yourself in the work? Is it a joy to look at?
It's all in the process before you decide to purchase a work of art. Not to mention the fact if you can afford it financially.
What price are you willing to pay for beauty in order to please you for a very long time?
For the artist creating art is a process. A process of digging into his soul. Price for that matter is relative in comparison to the inspiration and craftsmanship. In fact there is never a proper price to be set for any kind of art. All the great artists of the past hardly could live from their art. And now; prices go sky high.
So whatever we ask the public to pay will never be the right price. Whether it's to low or to high. In the eyes of the public the artist is subordinate to the joy of the purchaser of that particular piece of art.
