"Samurai Sasaki Takatsuna 1772" . . . The warrior Sasaki no Takatsuna on horseback riding through the water at the Battle of Uji River. He is armed with two swords, a longbow and a quiver full of arrows. Possibly the left panel of a vertical Oban Nishikie diptych. From an original 18th century (1772) woodcut, 'Ujigawa no Senjin Arasoi Sasaki Takatsuna' (Sasaki no Takatsuna at the Battle of Uji River), by Kitao Shigemasa.
