Winter Offering 1784

Winter Offering 1784 is the latest restoration, reproduced in high resolution to ensure superior quality enlargements and is available now in our '18th and 19th Century Japanese Prints' gallery, featuring vintage Ukiyo-e and art of Japan . . .

"Winter Offering 1784" . . . A man and two women standing in the snow outside a shrine. The man wears a black robe with simple design. The women are adorned with colorful, patterned robes and hair ornaments (elaborate hairpins and combs). They carry a winter offering for the shrine. Probably a panel in a triptych. From an original 18th century (1784) woodcut, 'Matsuchiyama no Yukimi' (Viewing snow at Mount Matchi), by Torii Kiyonaga. All Rights Reserved © 2014 padre art . . .

This eye-catching woodcut ~ with many other vintage Ukiyo-e images of Japan, lovingly restored and available now as designs on unique gift ideas ~ at our online shop, 'Padre Art Prints' . . . Winter Offering 1784
