When I first started doing Pyrography in 2009 there was nobody to help me except my mom. My mother was one of those wood burner you see with the hard black outline, but no detail. So, I thought to myself there has to be a way to get detail in this art form. I read a book by Sue Walters and learned about different kinds of tips to use and tools I could buy. I researched these and couldn't afford one so i came up with a way to get detail until i could. The set temperature wood burners like at Walmart are hard to get detail with, unless you take a small fan and turn it on at different speeds thus cooling your burner so you can take your time to achieve the details you want. I'll post more tips soon. I did the above wood burning with this method.
