Fingers of Fire

I visited the Colorado National Monument over the summer of 2013 and literally spent the whole night skirting the rim of the monument taking beautiful Milky Way photos. As I was driving I came across this one lonely tree right next to the road so I decided to use it for a foreground subject with the Milky Way in the background. The trip across the Rocky Mountains was definitely a beautiful drive. I was literally up for 24 hours straight for this trip.
