Current Tidings

I'll be using this blog to write about my current artworks and images, the ideas behind them, the production processes perhaps, what I am trying to say or accomplish.

Its not always easy translating the messages contained in visual images into written English, so expect this to be a work in progress in its own right.

I'll start off with an easy one, pretty clearly we have my pro-environmental activist persona at work, persuading the public with seductive images to investigate this tangled web of charges and counter charges over GMO foods.

It bothers me both spiritually and logically that GMO seeds are engineered to be Sterile.

Logically it is dangerous and stupid to create a sterile food chain, just on the chance of a widespread crop failure due to mold, fungus, parasite, etc ravages the sterile GMO strain.

Spiritually I object to one wall street entity playing god with our food crops, all in the name of corporate profits. I can see no good reason to gamble our future as a species on Earth for another pile of gold coin.
