Blue Ridge Parkway Artist, Child Poems, and Stop taking this Medication...

Blue Ridge Parkway Artist

When my son was young he liked to write poetry about his experiences with his Dad on bird hikes. One of his teachers asked me to illustrate two for a school fair.
These illustrations and poems are very special to me.

Original 21" x 18" Pastel Painting $5000

Shadow of Things to Come is a portrait of my son, Alan, when he began school. I loosely based this on a photograph. This is my most expressive portrait.

The colors and pastel marks were a frenzy of feeling for my child and his first days at school. I am especially pleased with the color contrast and deep shadow effect.

Life with The Word and Bird Man - Clyde Kessler

Both of us get tired of all the advertisements asking us to ask our doctor about some medication. The list of side effects is always staggering!
The other day my husband added one more.

If you are dead, stop taking this medication.
