Adventures in Art

As my day job took over my life, I found I had little time and about as much desire to paint. In the spring of 2017, A friend convinced me to attend one of those group painting events, and through that experience I remembered how much my soul needed to create beautiful things. Acrylics alleviated some of my excuses for not painting at least weekly — the drying time and the clean up chief among them. I dragged out some of my 30-year-old acrylics, purchased some fresh ones, got some brushes that would not be used with oils, and launched back in. Honestly, I give most of my original works away. But I have sold some — up to $450 for one of my originals. Recently, I’ve relaunched my FAA store and alerted my friends. Here’s to putting yourself out there and hoping someone has a better day because of it!
