Art Shows, Craft Fairs, Etc. Local Marketing: Coming To America.

I'm kind of excited. I'm coming home. I've had a blast living in, working in and photographing Australia, but it will also be nice to come home. I haven't done any art shows or anything here and I hope that coming home, I'll feel more confidant to ask people to display my art and maybe even participate in some art fairs or shows around Christmas. The problem is that I should be getting involved now and I'm not totally sure where I'll be. Probably Tulsa, but maybe Austin or Denver...

Anyway, I wasn't very serious about my art when I left. I was finishing my book (which I'm looking forward to marketing too, since it's a very American book).

So, for those of you who do, how do you start? What kinds of places do you look? I'll probably kind of concentrate on Christmas and local art to begin with (We should be back before Halloween).

I'm looking forward to hearing from you, and I'm sure the suggestions will help other artists as well
