Confusion About Limited Time Promotion

Within Limited time Promo I pick an image to promote, the 1st size that shows up is a size which does not show up in my Behind the Scenes sizes, I see a promotion size of 8x10" $35 before my add on take, and looks like a canvas, I cannot make the choice. But when I actually go to Behind Scenes and choose the closest size to that, which is 6.63x10" with "print" selected, at a price much less. Two questions

Am I unable to make a choice of types of print media, such as paper, canvas, metal etc., within Limited Time Promo?

Why does the much higher price within Limited Time Promo not pay me anything unless I add my take, which would mean my take would be a lot less than it would from Behind Scenes for the buyer? I even having trouble explaining the problem.

Very confusing. Someone please enlighten me.

It clearly says stretched canvas there. It also clearly says that these canvas are at standardized sizes so they're cheaper to produce. In fact they are a hell of a lot cheaper to produce pieces like this at the large sizes. For example, the site where you start all LTP (You did actually read that right?) says that it will be 100 dollars to produce a 30x40 canvas. If you get a 30x40 canvas through the normal purchase like say http://fineartamerica.com/products/mormon-stacker-joshua-house-canvas-print.html the canvas itself costs 252.08 dollars, a hair over 2.5x as much. Before my markup.

I think where you're getting confused is you missed the part about it being canvas only. If you're comparing it to paper then it would appear to be costing more, but you can only compare it to the canvas offerings.

The reason the first size that's listed doesn't appear in your behind your scenes comes from the fact that what 98% of people upload here isn't created to the "standard" sizes that LTP uses. It's created to whatever aspect ratio the art was created at, rather then a predetermined size. They do say they will crop a piece to fit their sizes, but that's a different issue.

Joshua,

If your attitude is inappropriate and rude, I do appreciate the feedback.
