I'm A Digital Abstract Artist That Goes By The Pen Name Xzendor7. I'm Currently Exploring Fractal Artwork, And Though I've Yet To Learn To Make Full Screen Fractal Images, The Fractal Fragments I Do Create I Use To Create The Fractal Compositions You See In My FineArt America Gallery.
The Elements That Are Created Are Then Combined In PhotoImpact Or Photo Elements Creating Unique Looking Pieces. I Will Often Use These Fractal Composition To Create Unique And Interesting Looking Kaleidoscopes As Well, Since Fractals Always Yields The Most Interesting Kaleidoscope And Kaleidoscope Compositions.
Since Speed For Me Is Key, My Tool Of Choice Is The Fractron 9000 GPU Based Fractal Generator. This Fractal Generator Uses The Graphics Processing Unit Or GPU And The CPU To Give You Real Time Or Almost Real Time Rendering Of Your Fractals (It's Available At SourceForge.net).
The Tool Is Still In Beta And Shows A Great Deal Of Potential Because Of It's Speed And Ease Of Use. I Recommend This Free Tool To Anyone Doing Fractal Art - The More Users There Are Of The Application Should Spur The Creator (Mike Thiesen) To Build A Better And More Robust Application With Many More Features.
To Use Fractron 9000 You Should Have A Graphics Card That Supports OpenGL 2.0 (OpenCL or CUDA recommended). Also Requires Microsoft .NET framework version 2.0.
I Also Enjoy Working With 3D Rendering Application And Have A Few Pieces Posted FineArt America With More To Come In The Future.
