I have worked in photography for over 30 years, starting as a photographer in the U.S. Navy. I actually started a little earlier than that, having made my first B&W print in a darkroom my father built in a converted coal bin in the basement of our house, when I was just 5 years old. Watching those images appear in the red safe lit room captivated me, and left an indelible mark on my imagination. My darkroom days are behind me now, having joined the digital age. The funny thing is, almost all the tricks and techniques I used in the darkroom, are still the basis from where I start when it comes to digital photography. I don't miss running out of film, I don't miss mixing chemicals, I don't miss watching the price of paper go up, and up, all the time. Ok, maybe I miss mixing chemicals a little bit! But I do fully enjoy working in the digital age. It's an honor, and very much a privilege to share my photographs with whomever may pass by this digital site.
