Hi, I’m Michele Engling and I’ve always loved to draw.
Like most illustrators, my love of art started at an early age. Pencil sketches, watercolor, oil, and digital illustration continue to be my media of choice. My favorite artists include Michelangelo, Picasso, Norman Rockwell, and Georgia O’Keefe. I’m also inspired by the works of Greg Lawhun, H.R. Giger, Jason Young, and Glenn Keane.
For over a decade I’ve worked as a graphic designer, but since my main passion is illustration I’ve recently started work on a side business called Yellow & Blue Bean Creative Dept. where people will be able to purchase prints of my illustrations as well as other creative items.
I try not to refer to myself as an artist or to my work as art. I want to leave that distinction to the viewer. Those titles should be given – not self-proclaimed. If someone refers to me as an artist, I take it as a special gift.
