The only daughter of an amateur/professional photographer, I began accompanying my dad on photo shoots when I was 10. Recently retired from a 24 year career in education, I decided to develop my interests in photography, writing, reading and quilting by blogging. This has turned me into a obsessive photographer. Now, my camera stays with me everywhere. Whether I am at home working on a project, or traveling to the far corners of California for business or pleasure, my Canon Rebel Xti accompanies me. I learn something about photography or processing every day as I observe, read, and practice.
I live in California with my husband of nearly 18 years, my dog, Kalev, and our two cats, Mama Kitty and Scardy Kitty, and assortment of photogenic teddy bears, especially Manny. I love life, and will try many things once - even mushrooms. However, don't expect any shots of me skydiving.
