I'm interested in using computers to create fractal art. The hallmark of fractals is their 'self-similarity'. Examine a fractal image closely, and you'll notice that it contains a hierarchy of patterns that recur on many scales, each resembling the whole. Fractals are common in nature: some examples are lightning bolts, snowflakes and the branching patterns of tree limbs. There are several readily available programs which make it easy to dabble in the vibrant world of fractals. The images in my gallery were created with the free software Apophysis.
