Drawn artwork in graphite, pen and ink, or pastel. All my work is completely freehand. For pieces that don't have to look like a particular person or thing, I simply rely on my years of practice drawing. In my portraits, that do need to have a likeness, I like the challenge of getting an accurate depiction and/or likeness without the aid of technology or tracing tools. My only tools are my eyes, my drawing skills and the painting or graphite materials I choose to use for that particular piece. It is also my goal to portray a mood and, in the case of portraits, portray the person's (or animal's) personality while still maintaining their physical likeness.
