The most important thing that I've learned from great photographers is to capture the essence of your subjects in a natural and sensitive way, to capture the true nature of people, places and things that surround us. I believe that my photographs do just that.
I've always been a photography enthusiast and have a background in graphic design. I saved up and bought my first SRL camera when I was 15. It was a manual, Canon AT-1. I was the girl who stayed for hours after school, working passionately in the darkroom to get that perfect print. I couldn’t get enough! If you knew me, you knew that there was always a camera attached. :) Years later, I still have that camera attached and things haven’t seemed to change much, except now that camera is digital and I’m always playing in Photoshop.
I've also been fortunate enough to have some of my work displayed at a local Washington, DC gallery exhibit and hope to do it again in the future!
While working in a camera store when in college, I was sold on Nikon and have been a Nikon fan ever since. I now use a Nikon D90. My lenses are Nikkor 18-70mm, 28-80mm, 50mm, 75-300mm, and my newest (summer of 2012) a Tokina 100mm macro.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy viewing my photos as much as I’ve enjoyed creating them!!
