When I was about 10 years and my brother in law was working on a silk screen of a hand holding a deck of cards. To my surprise he said the hand would be the easiest part. He was following the outer contour of the hand while even then I was seeing the fingerprints, wrinkles and creases. Today more than 50 years later that is still my focus. In the forest, I am the one who is likely to find the delicate mushroom tucked under the log we just stepped over.
