Often in those creative moments, I will receive the title as a flash at the very same time seeing an overall impression of the finished work. Now is the time to capture the perceived image as quickly as possible. Using the highest quality pure oil colors, pastels, pencil, pallet knife, with brushes in hand, 'I start the canvas' It has always interested me how a white canvas moves through the decision making painting process. Combinations of bright colors on canvas with an experience of profound happenings 'out of the blue' then seeing it in the first morning light is personally rewarding. In this timeless place of creation I find one of my greatest inspirations. I enjoy painting in the studio each day where ideas will flow in visions of the imagination. There are reflective expressionist moments I feel while creating an oil painting or graphite drawing. Some paintings may explore spontaneity, while others may take more than 3 years before it's a complete visual statement. It's about the 'experience' of what the art can be. Genre of any subject matter that allows me to fully represent an idea I am working with visually can be found within my versatile works. beyond the idea stage is a place within that creates a special visual harmony an experience of unusual curious moments of interest or emotional feelings. Every day this is what I look for in my lifelong search for that masterpiece, I feel it is always ready to be painted each time mixing a pallet or dipping a brush into paint, I ask is this the one? Always believing I am createing a painterly work that will touch an undefined place in the human heart that gives time and place to wonder.

As a painter, when my intuitive art process begins to happen, it is an amazing experience in every way. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do in painting them!
