I started taking pictures with a point and shoot Kodak 110 cartridge camera I bought at Eckerd Drugs for 15 bucks. I was about 10 years old at the time. It didn’t take very good pictures, but I was hooked for a lifetime. My perspective and passion has always been the natural environment around me. My experience with taking photographs over the years has led me to a few realizations: Sometimes, I have to wait a while to get the shot I really want. Sometimes it can take several hours. Sometimes it is better to put the camera down and just observe with the naked eye. Light plays such a large part in how a photograph will turn out that sometimes I have had to take many trips to the same subject to observe how the light falls on it. I have come to understand that these realizations have helped me achieve better shots overall. I shoot mostly landscapes as opposed to shooting people.
