Originally from upstate New York, Elizabeth B. Tucker moved to Southern California in her early 20ís. While she had always worked with her hands in the needle arts, it was her husband who encouraged her to begin drawing and painting when he gave her an easel as a gift. Seeking teachers who would teach her in the classical tradition Elizabeth has studied at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art (LAAFA), Art Center College of Design and taken private classes with artists Ryan Wurmser and Aaron Westerberg. Elizabeth B. Tucker specializes in still life and portrait work.
Now a teacher herself, Elizabeth is a member of the Pasadena Society of Artists, the California Art Club, Women Painters West and is the president of the Angeles Crest Art Guild. She has won several awards for her work.
