Ed Furuike, born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He began painting in 1975 studying with renowned Hawaii artist the late Hiroshi Tagami who encouraged him to continue painting using only a palette knife. Inspiration for most of his work is drawn from the Islands and some from his journeys to Europe and Japan.
