Douglas is an emerging professional photographer who has been active with photography since the age of 13, when he was given his first camera. Since then his education and training around photography for the last 35 years has been through many resources;
high school photo club, reading books, subscribing to several photography magazines, viewing other art forms,
talking with professional photographers, and taking thousands of images (both film and recently digital).
He has also photographed events, and news for local newspapers in Sanders County and has had several of his images published in the newspapers within Sanders County, Montana. Douglas regulary enters a local juried art show sponsored by the Sanders County Art Council (SCAC). Art on the Walls showcases many artists and photographers within Sanders County. A portion of the sales proceeds from the show are shared with the hospital and SCAC.
