I began to draw the beautiful horse at age 4. Later on in High School was when I began painting in oils and acrylics. At age 16, my painting “Forest Rider” won first place in a Northern California High school art competition.
At age of 11 a small epiphany while laying in a meadow on Mount Hamilton in California.
The scene began to fill me with a feeling of awe, some feelings of inspiration and real amazement.
It was a warm spring day so this meadow was fluttering with butterflies, birds and ladybugs among other assorted things. Add to that a humongous array of wildflowers. Add the puffy white clouds, and bird songs.
I would say it lit a slow burn in my soul. It all brought a feeling of peace and with that an added amount of gratefulness and awe towards God, our creator.
I love light and shadows, colors, moods and effects that can be enchanting and mesmerizing
I would love to express what I feel and see and to have fun with the process of painting and photography.
I hope you enjoy my art and thank you for visiting!
