I have been an artist since I was knee high to a short-horned locust. My dad, Willoughby Senior (FAA) was a professional artist and writer and I have stepped in his shoes since I was born, though he drew horses better than I did when I was a kid. My family lived in a hand-hewn log cabin we built ourselves in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and had no water or electricity. River Mural

Commissioned by the Platte Valley Arts Council in Saratoga, Wyoming, this 8x16-foot mural took me 2 years to complete. It consists of many dozens of paintings -- large landscape panoramas and small vignettes of historical and nature scenes, all against a background of traditional quilt designs.
