My first career was that of a registered nurse; after 15 years working as a health professional I decided to become a stay-at-home mom for my two children.
Always having been an artist of sorts; prior to nursing school I had been a stained glass artist for many years and have always 'dabbled' in creative endeavors. It wasn't until I started taking drawing and painting classes several years ago that I discovered my love for painting, which I have been immersed in ever since. I have sold work while exhibiting in area art shows, restaurants and local galleries.
I love nature, the outdoors and the ocean, so a lot of my work reflects that; I also love to inject humor and whimsy into my paintings when the mood strikes me.
I also adore my Nikon D-300, and I enjoy photography and digital abstract photography as well; please take a look at my photo galleries!
I understand that the present economic times are difficult and that some viewers may not be able to afford an original painting that they love. If you find yourself loving one of my pieces and are willing to negotiate a fair alternate price, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would love to hear from you!
