Born and raised in the Philippines, Carol is the second eldest daughter of Victor and Priscilla Mallillin. She grew up with 3 brothers and 2 sisters in Manila, Philippines. Both her parents were teachers.
Carol has always had a passion in art ever since she was a little girl. She has participated in drawing, painting and poster making competitions from elementary school through college. Carol graduated with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts majoring in Advertising from Philippine Women's University. Following college she worked as a graphic artist.
In the year 2000, she left the Philippines when she acquired a volunteer job in Papua New Guinea teaching Expressive Arts at a Secondary School in Port Moresby. She was fascinated by the people of Papua New Guinea and its culture as well as other cultures she experienced during travel. This inspiration led her to paint different aspects of life she experienced.
She left Papua New Guinea in 2002 to live in the United States. She lived in New Hampshire with her husband for a couple years before moving to Southern California where she currently resides. She has had a number of exhibits of her collection of paintings that she made in the last 15 years. Most of her work pictures people, life experiences, culture & travel.
