Los Angeles native Ari Jacobs earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Art Center College of Design. Her career started with editorial and portrait photography before the entertainment industry called upon her for graphic design work and art department coordinating.
Ari has compiled a California Landscape series that captures the diverse terrain of her home state. From Sonoma’s Wine Country, to the deserts of Death Valley, to the forests of Sequoia, to the winding Pacific Coast Highway, to the majestic Sierra Mountains, the series uses negative space to convey the vastness of the environment, creating a painterly quality. She has been working on a botanical series with an abstract quality to them.
Her artistic contributions have been showcased on network television programs such as 'Undeclared' and 'The Bernie Mac Show,' as well as the feature films “Knocked Up” and “Funny People.” She was chosen by Cambean Hospitality to compile a collection of photography of Everglades National Park which is on display at The Clifton Hotel in Miami’s South Beach. A portion of all proceeds from the sales of the Everglades images goes to the Cambean Earth Enviornmental Fund.
